Recommended Solution
Based on the equipment specifications and transportation requirements, our engineering team recommended the ALJ-8110159 Wire Rope Isolator from the ALJ-81 Series.
Considering the relatively large footprint of the equipment, a customized mounting arrangement was adopted:
3 isolators symmetrically installed on each long side
1 isolator symmetrically installed on each short side
Total quantity: 8 isolators
This configuration ensures uniform load distribution and enhanced stability during transportation.
Solution Advantages
Superior Shock and Vibration Isolation Performance
Wire rope isolators are specifically designed for mobile equipment used in vehicles, ships, and other transportation applications where shock and vibration protection is critical.
The ALJ-8110 Series is manufactured entirely from 304 stainless steel. Each wire rope strand consists of 7×19 high-strength stainless steel wires. During vibration and shock events, microscopic relative movement and friction between the wire strands generate inherent damping, effectively absorbing impact energy and reducing transmitted vibration.
This unique design helps protect sensitive equipment and electronic cabinets from transportation-induced shock loads and vibration.
Flexible Mounting Configurations
Different equipment structures require different installation approaches:
For equipment with large length and width dimensions but a relatively low height, additional isolators can be installed along the sides in addition to the corner supports. This improves load distribution and prevents unsupported areas that may compromise safety.
For equipment with smaller footprints but greater height, side-mounted isolators are recommended in addition to the base isolators. Depending on the application, the side isolators can be installed using either the same model at half the quantity or a smaller-capacity model at the same quantity to improve overall stability.
